Let's see what I've missed so far...
August 4 or 5 and lasted for about 10 days : The Haze! Argghh...

Did you saw how bad it was? Can you see what you see? Nuh.. KLites have been struggling to see what they want to see! I can't see our clear blue sky and our skyscrapers... It's really unimaginable for this thing to happen to us. Those people in Sumatra are exercising their annual activities - forest burning, and yet we have our worst haze in as long as we had live here.. I can't even see our tallest building in the City nor our tallest tower when going to work thru the Ampang Elevated Highway. It was terrible! I have to shut all my windows at home and sleep with air-con for whole 2 weeks.. Electricity bills will killz end of this month for sure! Damn... Anyway, thank God everything is behind us now (Or should I say on top of us now, coz the monsoon wind has blew those haze up north)..
And so I sing...
I can see clearly now, the haze is gone
I can see all dark clouds in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-shiny Day
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-shiny Day
Welcome back our clear blue sky KL!
August 5 - 7 : PIKOM PC Fair @ The new KL Convention CentreThe PC Fair was good. Air-cond was quite cold, mostly due to the fact that the building is still very new (The KL Convention Centre was officially open in June 2005). This building is a very expensive building. Every 50 metres that I walk, I will see a Plasma TV displaying CNN news. The architecture was pretty stylish. Anyway, back to the Fair, there were huge crowd during the 3 days. Basically, everyone just come in to the Fair like everything is free of charge.. On the 2nd day, we celebrated one of our collegue's birthday. It was Chong Wah's 20th Birthday and we had a strawberry cake from BreadTalk. Overall the Fair's sales was good, we manage to achieve our initial target and everyone was happy. Our top salesman, Kiet, is the happiest man, getting a brand new Sony PSP for his effort! Congrats everyone for a great PC Fair :) More pics at Life Taste Good
July 23 : Terrence Teh's 21st Birthday Bash @ Home
We went to Teh's grandma house at Kepong on July 23rd to celebrate his birthday. All the food was home-made, probably cooked by his mum, and they boy they taste good! Yummy :D We made Terrence wore the shirt we gave him and also carry his birthday bolster! LOL..

OMG It's Been A While!
I haven't been posting for like 2 months now, since the first "break" was for 1 month during March.. I'm not sure what I've done in the past 2 months that is really meaningful. Although I haven't been posting, I've regularly updated my photoblog (www.lifetastegood.net), uploading all the photos that I shot whenever I go, with my beloved Nikon Coolpix 5900, of course.
Recently saw the Canon PowerShot S2 IS and man I'm in love! 12x Optical Zoom, 5MP, Image Stabilization, SD Slot, ability to add on optional lenses and more! Price racking up to 2k. Anyhow, not going to spend anymore on gadgets at the moment, at least until next year's CNY.. Need to save money for end-of-the-year's Perth trip and probably a car.
Thinking of getting a cheap but good car, around 30K perhaps?
Currently looking at the Hyundai Inokom Atos (www.hyundai.com.my/models/atos/atos.html). 2nd hand value were estimated to be around my currenly proposed budget. Hopefull something can be sorted out in the next few weeks or so.
Suddenly I feel that I'm beginning to enjoy reading, and writing (Typing perhaps).. I've read alot when I was small, I write too but not often. I read more. But things change when I went into secondary school. I spent more time with people around me, rather than spending time for myself, to read. Just a few days ago I started to read Reader's Digest a few days ago. Yes I do read RD but just certain columns like Laughter's The Best Medicine or Life's At Work or some short articles, but I read 2 whole RD this week.. Not sure why, I'm getting hooked! - Just like how I got hooked to Amazing Race! I think the other reason why I didn't have time to post or too lazy to post was because I spent the past months watching all the back seasons, except Season 6, which, to my surprise, could not be find in even the most famous Torrent websites.. Still finding thou.
Currently at work, boring and not really getting anywhere.
I really hope I could post more often soon.
*EDIT: I'm editing this post, initially created from MacOSX's Safari, in IE6 now because Safari doesn't support font formatting! I'm not sure if IE for Mac support formatting as well.. Something I need to find out.

A month-or-so...
I'm not sure if I'm busy or just too lazy to update.
I'm probably too busy in the day and end up being too-tired at night to update :P
Anyhow, nothing much had happened during the last few weeks. My parents and sister went to Shanghai, China with few more relatives for 8 days. Should be coming back in 4 days time. From the sms-es from my sister, I can sensed that they're having the time of their life there. Wished I could go on to a vacation soon.
Talking about vacation, disappointed of not being able to make the coming Redang trip. Guys, if you're reading this, enjoy yourself! :D
Having able to *own* the house and the car for the first 4 days is really nothing special or "big". It's just like every other day, without anyone watching TV when I reach home from work.
I hope I will update my blog as often as I could from now on. Will *try*.
For now, out.

Genting!!!
I mean, Ong, Jeannie, Won Jie, Shih Leng and I were only supposed to have a *peaceful* dinner over at Desa Kepong. Eat some crab. Crap a bit. Then go home or something... But, yeah we still went home, but to change to proper attire then to go to Casino de Genting! :S
The dinner was OK. We were quite late. Reached Desa around 10++ and we're considered lucky to still be able to eat some crab. RM18 per kg is darn cheap. Most importantly, it's taste good, if not great.
Dinner time was filled with guess-what's-in-the-wrapping question of Jeannie's birthday gift. It was a purplelish-pink Guess hand bag with metal straps!!! Uh... Nvm.
Well, after dinner, went home to change. Then up we go.. Reached the peak @ 2AM. The casino was crowded. I have no idea why there's so many people so in the mood to gamble at time like this and it's weekdays! Isn't the tomorrow supposed to be a working day?! Anyhow, we walked around and stopped at the Blackjack table. Me and Ong then went to the slot machines to play a bit. I happily won RM60 something, by pressing just one button and I still don't know why I won after collecting the winnings. The sounds of coins dropping from slot machine is SO NICE to hear... That feeling is GOOD :p
Me and Ong went back and meet up with the gurls at the Blackjack table and put some bets... Won again! haha... People say beginner's luck is always there. Now I believe.
But I also believe that addict luck is sux. So this kind of thing, do once in a while is enough... LOL.
That's for now... ZZZzzzzzz....

Wedding Bells :)
Woman are not to be understood, but to be loved- Tony Khong
Didn't have time to write anything this whole week but still managed to change my blog location from MSN Spaces to Blogger instead. The reason - I gain more control and Blogger is more comfortable to use.
Well another pair of lovey dovey couple just got married just days ago. Dr Yap and Angeline Khong (Jason's elder sister) held a wedding dinner at the clubhouse of their new apartment in Goh Tong Jaya last Saturday, 5th March 2005. I forgot what's the restaurant called. The only thing I can remember is the pool :D LOL. Anyway, Ong, Shih Leng and me were expecting to be late because the dinner was said to be starting around 7PM. We arrive 8.10PM but guess wut? We're just in time to see the Bride and Groom walk to the centre stage, just after being introduced by the Master of Ceremony, backed up with Jacky Cheung and Priscilia Chan's rendition of Country Spirit's TVB series love theme. It sounds so good and the couple look so good that night :)

A Walk To Remember :)
(More pics at Life Taste Good)
Dinner was serve almost immediately. Someone in our table commented about us always getting the dishes first because Jason's sitting with us! Hmmm... Conspiracy Theory? Doesn't matter, as long as it kept our stomach filled! ha ha...
The dinner actually ended quite fast. It lasted for about two and a half hour only. By 10.30PM, the dining area is virtually empty, just a few of us sitting there waiting to celebrate Fernie's birthday and give her a *small* surprise :P
The Secret Recipe's Chocolate Fudge is out. Strong winds means Fernie had to make her wish with the cake almost completely covered with the box... Wish wished. Candles blown, it's time for that same 'ol tradition again! 13 candles altogeher, 12 small and 1 big means 22 years of age. Fernie was quite quick in removing all the candles, except, of course, the final on in the middle when *someone*'s quick hand means the cake is destroyed and there goes the cake. A quick plan then struck my mind as I pursue the original plan of throwing our birthday gurl to the pool. Volunteered to wipe out the chocolates in her face before pulling her to the pool... ha ha ha... But I didn't pool strong enough, she slipped and fell down just before she fell in the pool, hurting her ankle :( Everything happened so fast. Split seconds. She was still cleaning up herself in a second, and the next second she's already suffering from the Titanic kinda temperature in the pool :P

She's bleeding when she came up of the pool. So we went up to the Bride and Groom's new apartment nearby (Block D) to look for some treatment. We have to go up anyway for her to change and clean up the chocolate mess... LOL
We hang out for awhile at the apartment. Balcony view was good, if not fantastic. Decent apartment, just nice for a newly wed couple, plus 1 or 2 kids for the future! hehehe...
We went back around 1AM.
I hereby wish Dr Yap and Angeline Khong a very congratulations on their marriage and have many many lovely years ahead. Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day
Love is all around. Take a look around you and wish everyone Happy Valentine's Day :)
Just got back from another midnight movie, this time is Seoul Raiders. First impression was bad because of Richie Ren and Shu Qi. End result - funny and good. Laugh and reasonable storyline from start till end.
Highlight of the day is Ghimteik's 2005 Valentine's Fireworks display. Hope everyone enjoyed it. It's specially dedicated to Jessie. She's leaving on a jetplane soon. Besides that, it's also to those buddies who's around.
Thanks everyone!

The Historical Town
At first I thought everything won't be going according to plan as we were 45 minutes off schedule to depart due to unexpected traffic crawl along Batu Caves. Then someone thought about having breakfast first. But we reached there around 2PM, just as expected. I thought there was nothing special about the lunch-time rice ball but getting-together is the main thing.. ha ha, in addition, the rice ball was ok and I don't have a reason to complain! Cendol with red bean was refreshing. There's a wonderful collection of Coca-cola cans and tins from all over the world in the cendol shop. We went on and took many photos around. It's been some time since I've last enjoyed a group trip apart from going to Genting last week, which was enjoyable too :) The night walk along Jonker's Street was good. All kinds of stuffs are being sold all along the "street of light". Alot of nice things can be seen. The street at night is a total contrast from daytime which was very quiet and peaceful. The most interesting shop that I went in was Charles Cham's Orang Utan house. Many fasinating paintings and artwork are found either painted or hanged on the wall around the shop. Photography wasn't allowed in there due to some copyright concern. The "No feeling without drawing" quote was derived from one of the walls there. Bought a T which says "To lah or not to lah - that is the question in Malaysia", LOL. Apart from the Orang Utan House, many other shops and stalls were interesting as well, like the mini dancing hall, which is open to public and anyone can go in to dance for free. Really had alot of fun along the street. Went for satay-celup or better known as "luk-luk" later on. I thought there's nothing special about it and didn't really taste as good as I expected but it was ok!
Overall, this get-together was fun and enjoyable. Something to be remembered. More photos of the Malacca trip can be found here: http://ghimteik.photoblog.co.uk
I decided to put all photos and pics to my new photoblog instead of here. From now onwards it'll be blog here with some photos and all other photos will be going to the photoblog.

Therefore I draw what I think and paint what I feel.
Drawing is the idea. The thought.
Painting is the expression. As there is no feeling without thinking.

Arsenal 2 - 4 Manchester United
I didn't have time to update this blog after the United humble Arsenal in their home stadium until this morning. Too many things to do, too little time. Anyway, that isn't important. The scoreline is. Heinze was unlucky not to hold off Vierra for his powering operning-goal header. Ronaldo was 2 times lucky to get his braces while O'shea's chip was magnificent. That is the goal that confirms that Arsenal would not be retaining the Premiership title. Brilliant brilliant moment. I only get to watch the downloaded version but it was ok. 2nd half shows Manchester United's best performance this season, even with 10-men after a foolish Silvestre head-butt. I thought he was stupid.
Other than that classic, yesterday was a good day. Went shopping for CNY clothes. Going again today. I'm suddenly in the shopping-mood. Wana buy alot of stuffs. As the saying goes, too many things to buy, too little money, it's hurting! LOL
I can't believe that I can't find a United Megastore in town nowadays. 1U outlet was closed down long time ago. Went to Lot10 and it was closed too!
I'm off to another shopping-day!

City of Entertainment
Departed from Terminal Putra at precisely 9AM. We reach Genting Skyway Lower Station at about 9.50AM. Had breakfast at the food court coz everyone is hungry! Went on to board the skyway and reached the peak around 11.30AM. Most of the day, we're hanging out in the outdoor theme park. Nothing much has changed, besides new addition of the Flying Coaster, which charges its patrons for additional RM10, even it's inside the theme park, where we already paid for the entrance. It's purely a gimmick to gain extra profits since it's a new attraction. Very sure the RM10 fee will be waived by middle of this year!
I was quite bored with Cockscrew. Had fun with Solero Shot, Boat Rowing and Bumper Boat though. Boat Rowing was the most tiring, especially my left foot. Can't walk properly now on my feet!
First time into Casino de Genting and Casino de Monte Carlo. Wasn't asked for IC. I guess I looked old :( Not really much people in there. Probably because it's a weekday. I'm amazed how people place bets. Stack of RM50 notes are like stacks of A4 papers in my room! The Vegas Superstar Baccarat was a stupid game. I can't imagine all those dumb people go place their bets.. LOL. When majority bet on Player, Banker will win. When majority bet on Banker, it turns out to be a Tie.
Photos are coming up soon, but as usual, I have to wait for those camera-owners.

2AM
The coffee is helping me to stay awake. Another 7 hours or so to my penultimate paper of my entire 4 years at college. I can't sleep. I need to read more about it. I'm desparate not to come back here again in April!
Anyway, this morning I got a news that I predicted exactly opposite the way I wanted it to be. Originally predicted Man United would beat Chelsea 2 - 1 at Old Trafford and go on to the League Cup final but instead, they were beaten by the same scoreline. Pretty disappointed. Reviews and reports says that United were the better side in the 2nd half. Pretty freak out with Damien Duff's freek kick from the right side of the field that no one expect would curle in like that. I thought Giggs's chip-over-Cech equaliser was an outstanding goal. Jose Mourinho has the upperhand - again - in The Theater of Dreams.

New Blog
It's still January so I figured I can start a blog as if I started it in the beginning of 2005. Let me just recall what about happened in the first 2-3 weeks of January..Erm, nothing much really, first week of January was my study week. Although I didn't spent the whole week studying, there wasn't much going on. Then comes the exam timetable.
17/1 Introduction To Drama
19/1 Distributed Computer Systems
24/1 Object-oriented System Analysis & Design
26/1 Multimedia Technology
28/1 Network Management
Then the whole thing started..
First was Introduction To Drama then Distributed Computer Systems. I thought I could pass both papers easily. Scoring good grades is, always, a different story. Next paper is on Monday (Object-oriented System Analysis & Design). I think the paper that I have to put most effort on is Network Management though. Can't bear failling any paper in my "Final Finals". Will try my best!
I guess I've gotta go back to my books now.
