The Historical Town

Finally I have the time to update my space. It's been 3 days since the visit to the historical town - Malacca. Guess what, I managed to get some photos too! Haven't get them all yet but I think I will, soon! ha ha...

At first I thought everything won't be going according to plan as we were 45 minutes off schedule to depart due to unexpected traffic crawl along Batu Caves. Then someone thought about having breakfast first. But we reached there around 2PM, just as expected. I thought there was nothing special about the lunch-time rice ball but getting-together is the main thing.. ha ha, in addition, the rice ball was ok and I don't have a reason to complain! Cendol with red bean was refreshing. There's a wonderful collection of Coca-cola cans and tins from all over the world in the cendol shop. We went on and took many photos around. It's been some time since I've last enjoyed a group trip apart from going to Genting last week, which was enjoyable too :) The night walk along Jonker's Street was good. All kinds of stuffs are being sold all along the "street of light". Alot of nice things can be seen. The street at night is a total contrast from daytime which was very quiet and peaceful. The most interesting shop that I went in was Charles Cham's Orang Utan house. Many fasinating paintings and artwork are found either painted or hanged on the wall around the shop. Photography wasn't allowed in there due to some copyright concern. The "No feeling without drawing" quote was derived from one of the walls there. Bought a T which says "To lah or not to lah - that is the question in Malaysia", LOL. Apart from the Orang Utan House, many other shops and stalls were interesting as well, like the mini dancing hall, which is open to public and anyone can go in to dance for free. Really had alot of fun along the street. Went for satay-celup or better known as "luk-luk" later on. I thought there's nothing special about it and didn't really taste as good as I expected but it was ok!

Overall, this get-together was fun and enjoyable. Something to be remembered. More photos of the Malacca trip can be found here:

I decided to put all photos and pics to my new photoblog instead of here. From now onwards it'll be blog here with some photos and all other photos will be going to the photoblog.
